what I might do with my extra hour

1. respond to four of my first-year students' papers
2. read Harper's
3. watch Crash
4. take a super-long walk with the girl
5. eat bad things--when they're eaten during the extra hour that comes with the darkness, it somehow doesn't count
6. sleep? Naaah, I get enough of that as it is.
7. outline the book. the book. THE BOOK. Becky.
8. chill and listen to music, something I NEVER do, but Peter sent me the GREATEST cd ever--Death Cab for Cutie along with a bunch of other miscellaneous stuff, including the version of "Somewhere over the rainbow/what a wonderful world" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. His voice brings me to tears.
9. blog
10. mourn the passing of the daylight and put on a turtleneck

Yeah, call Susan. Or you're supposed to sleep. I LOVE going back to regular time. Makes everything seem more Autumn-ish. Even if it doesn't actually change anything in reality. Got to love human control over things such as time. Mikey

Oh, and watch Crash. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Brenden Frasier is even good in it, if that's possible. Love to hear what you think of it.

Oh, I've been looking in vain for that song! And I really do need to understand why everyone likes Death Cab for Cutie, but I don't have a whole CD of their work. Hint, hint.

If I knew how to burn you a copy, I would. I'll work on it.

I saw crash. I thought it was good..kept ya trying to make connections. A thinker. Love those. Although I was a bit bothered by the female partner. I recognized her and spent the entire movie wondering WHERE I recognized her. Help me please.
