Can croutons get stale?

What does the date on the package say?
Store them in the freezer, that way they will remain as fresh as the day you froze them--but be sure to expel as much air as possible so they don't get freezer burned or absorb odors.
Of course, you could make your own croutons by using up stale bread!
Who needs 'em anyway!
They are.
And do not have a place in a salad.
