it gives me away every time
I gave a colleague a ride home tonight in the midst of a monstrously wonderful thunderstorm (I love thunderstorms!). She lives on the same street as Julie, and she asked me if I happened to be at Julie's house on Friday night. Yes, why do you ask?
She says, I knew it! I was walking by her house and I heard this very sudden squeal of laughter and I thought it had to be Amy.
Funneeee, I am.

I thought of you today when I was in a faculty meeting, and my laugh (which has been known--I kid you not--to set off The Clappter)barks out through the room. Nice people chuckle softly. I bray.
Why, then, did I think of you? Because when we were on the same hall, I wasn't alone. *sigh*
You don't bray, my dear. You're not a donkey. You have a wonderful laugh. The world needs more people like us.
OMG, Susan, you set off a Clapper? I'm deeply impressed. My best claim to fame was when Collin stepped out of a meeting to ask me to suppress the cackle. That's not nearly as good as setting off a Clapper.
