breaking it in
People, this is the first piece of living room upholstered furniture that I have ever been the first to own. All other furniture has either been given to me or picked up off the side of the road. Granted, this wacky chair has no arms. But it's comfy and it's kinda crazy and it came with 3 massive pillows. Plus it was on clearance.
The girl, she wastes no time. None at all.

Ah, so that's what it's called. Thanks, Shoe. I was calling it the psychadelic armless chair. Slipper chair sounds so much more refined.
It also is sometimes called a shoe chair--it got its name because it is armless, relatively small and fits in a bedroom, relatively low to floor so that it is convenient to sit on to change one's shoes! They've been around a long time, but I think they've become more popular in the last decade or so.
