recant

I was wrong about the NyQuil. It does still have alcohol, happily. S. had bought me the generic version, which I'm usually all about, and it was alcohol-free. We just got back from a few errands, one of which was returning--yes returning--the alcohol-free generic store-brand NyQuil.

Me: It didn't work.

Man behind the counter: It didn't work?

Me: It offered no relief.

Later. Me, to honey: See, you really can return anything. This is America. Customer is always right.

Kathleen Turner on Larry King this week said that rather than take pills that would mess up her head, she decided to use alcohol as a painkiller for her rheumatoid arthritis instead--and it messed up her head!

Sounds like booze would be better than NyQuil! I personally always opted for a hot rum toddy (made with tea, lemon, honey, and aspirin). It that doesn't sweat it out of you, nothing will!

Hope you feel better soon.
