Mikey, this is for you, from your Belly girl. How can you possibly object to birthday hats? Readers, unite!

(Although, and for the record and so everyone won't think I'm a complete meany, my original objection to hats -- back when Belle was a brand new niece -- was that she didn't need hats to make for a cute picture: she was cute enough on her own.) Either is, apparently, delightful, if one is a dog. Maddie started to expect one every time we got ourselves a frozen treat this summer...
